As part of this process, in 2009 EMBRACO redesigned its business model. The Evolution project was designed to provide more agility and flexibility to the organization; bring a strong vision by processes and a new structure; and split into Current and New Businesses. This structure also sought to better integrate some processes, such as the Supply Chain management, Marketing and Clients Management.
As a key element of EWM, Lean Thinking was adopted by EMBRACO to reduce wastes by means of optimizing working processes. Lean is a philosophy that seeks to improve quickly, forming intensive working groups that operate around a common focus.
Another relevant initiative was the development of a new corporate management model, the Embraco Way of Management (EWM).
EMBRACO’S management model is based on principles of sustainability, on the practice of institutional values, on the continuous improvement of quality and on the care with safety and health of its professionals. The integration that characterizes EWM also prevents wastes of energy, raw materials and natural resources, generating more sustainable results in all plants.
The Evolution project maintains its operations in full activity within EMBRACO’S global structure, uniting efforts in all operations in pursuit of development from the integration and exchange of knowledge.
